About us
Mass spectrometry (MS) is a physicochemical method for distinguishing ions based on the m/z ratio, where m is their mass and z is their charge. This is a method that has undergone a stormy development in recent years. The center of gravity of its use is gradually shifting from physics through chemical fields to biology and medicine. Chemists use this technique primarily to determine the relative molecular weight and obtain additional structural information from the cleavage of molecules. Unlike other methods used to investigate the structure of molecules, mass spectrometry stands out primarily for its exceptional sensitivity.

Open access
The "distant open access MS" system allows students to acquire and evaluate low-resolution mass spectra for their samples independently. Users can specify acquisition requirements more precisely and use the offered equipment more efficiently. Another advantage is that they get full access to the measured data, and thanks to the provided MestReNova program, they can analyze the measured spectra in detail and in a targeted manner.
You can find detailed instructions on how to use this measurement method zde.
Instructions in English can be found here.
The specified analysis will be performed within 1-2 days. The measured data is overwritten on the DS116 at 11 p.m. on the day of the measurement.

You can also contact these collaborators with a request to measure the spectra.
In the future, we are preparing the option of separate measurements for MALDI-TOF/TOF.
